My Story
I grew up obese—18 stone at just 5'6" by age 16. Despite a background in rugby, boxing, and karate, my teenage years were marked by a steep decline in mental health. I withdrew from sport, turned to binge eating, and became one of the heaviest kids in school. The bullying was relentless, and the shame ran deep.
For years I tried to lose weight, chasing every diet and fitness trend, but nothing stuck—because I was battling my own mind. I’d stand in front of the mirror, picking at my body, broken by self-doubt and cruelty.
Eventually, something snapped. I refused to be a victim any longer—of myself or anyone else. I rebuilt from rock bottom, turning pain into fuel. I trained like my life depended on it, lived like a Spartan, and cut out anything that didn’t serve the mission. It was lonely, obsessive, and extreme—but it forged the mindset and discipline I still carry today.
That journey—from bullied teen to adventure athlete—wasn’t just physical. It was mental warfare. And it’s the foundation of everything I teach now.

My life was far from glamorous—but it worked. In the discomfort, I found purpose. I came to crave the grind. It forged me into what I now call an “adventure athlete”—someone who trains not just for sport, but for life itself. For the unknown. For the kind of challenges most wouldn’t even think to try.
Physically, the change was obvious. But inside, I was still fighting. Years of bullying and binge eating left scars. Without food as an emotional crutch, I had to confront what was really there. I turned inward—studying philosophy, Buddhism, therapy, military history, martial arts. I wasn’t just building strength; I was rebuilding identity.
Over time, I developed my own system—an antifragile mindset that doesn’t just endure hardship, but grows from it. My mission became about resilience. About shaping a spirit that seeks challenge, not comfort.
While growing my career in photography, I continued evolving physically—exploring Olympic lifting, climbing, maces, surfing, martial arts, and movement training. The deeper I went, the more I realized: we’ve barely scratched the surface of what’s possible in the human body—and the human mind.

Fast forward to today, and I’m still pushing the boundaries. It’s been an intimidating yet exhilarating journey, constantly challenging me to step outside my comfort zone. In recent years, I've found myself on both sides of the lens—transitioning from a once-depressed, morbidly obese individual to someone who ran a podcast, produces online content, hosts training classes of 40 people or more at Brawd Health and now I run an online business - Life Changing Coaching where It’s about guiding people through their wins and losses, using the wealth of knowledge I’ve gathered over the years. The best part? I’m still learning every single day, and I’m constantly working to improve!
